Managing Projects
Projects let you organize related deals and tasks under a single umbrella. Use them for large client engagements, cross-team initiatives, or any work that spans multiple deals.
Creating a Project
- Navigate to Projects in the sidebar.
- Click New Project.
- Enter a project name and an optional description.
- Click Save.
Linking Deals and Tasks to a Project
Once a project exists, you can link deals and tasks to it:
- When creating or editing a deal, select the project from the project dropdown.
- When creating or editing a task, select the project from the project dropdown.
You can also link items from the project detail page directly.
Project Detail Page
The project detail page gives you a consolidated view of everything in the project:
- Overview — Project name and description (inline editable).
- Deals — All deals linked to this project, with their status.
- Tasks — All tasks linked to this project, with their status and due dates.
- Notes & Activity — Project-level notes and a timeline of activity.
Use Cases
- Client onboarding — Group the sales deal, setup tasks, and follow-up tasks into one project for a single client view.
- Product launch — Track deals with early customers alongside launch preparation tasks.
- Quarterly initiatives — Organize all deals and tasks for a recurring business cycle in one place.
- Multi-deal clients — Clients with several concurrent deals benefit from a project to see the full picture.
Filtering and Sorting
The projects list supports sorting by name and creation date.
Deleting a Project
Deleting a project unlinks all associated deals and tasks — they are not deleted, just detached from the project. Notes attached directly to the project are permanently removed. This action is permanent.
